The Ultimate Library Travel Plan

The starting point for our adventure though Maine via libraries was easy to decide on. We would start in the County we live in and begin at our town's library. A library we are overly familiar with and go to often. Even starting at a place so familiar I had a teensy bit of anxiety. I was going to voice out loud what I was planning on doing. What if I failed? What if it wasn't a good idea? What if... What if.... What if...

Here was the plan

I would go to the libraires in Oxford County, sometimes more than one in a day. I would always bring Tillden, my youngest son, with me and we would read at least one book at each library. Allden, my oldest son, would go to libraries with us around his school schedule. Allden was okay with this arrangement as long as we made sure to bring him to some of the island libraries. I would document the books we read, where we read them, and take a photo of each library we visited. I would also write a narrative of our day. This narrative would be for our family to look back on. If the narrative stayed within our family, I would be content with that, if it turned into a published book, well that would be a dream come true. From these initial plans I just started, and we worked our way through Oxford County.

I was getting asked often from friends, family, and librarians to keep them updated along our travels. I didn't really have a plan for that. After some thought, the idea of a newsletter for each county presented itself but I didn't know how to do that. Google to the rescue, and I was making newsletters.
