A New Endeavor

There have been so many unexpected outcomes and opportunities as a result of traveling around the state and visiting libraires. One opportunity that stemmed from a chance meeting at the Danforth Public Library is having been offered a column in an online community news outlet.

Meeting Christiana Lord at the Library was a right time, right place moment. We briefly connected and exchanged contact information. Christiana, who had taken over the local community newspaper, was interested in our story. Since our meeting we have had many meaningful phone and email conversations. She was in the beginning process of expanding the local newspaper into having an online version. When she asked if I would be interested in writing for Community News 360 online, I was nervous and excited. How had visiting the Danforth Public Library to read a book to my son lead to this incredible opportunity? It solidified the importance of just getting out there in the world because you never know what opportunities are waiting for you.
